Easter egg hunts and spring events are planned across Sandusky County over the next two weekends. Activities begin March 28 with events in Clyde, Ballville Township, Vickery and Woodville. Fremont and several other communities will host events on April 4, including a vendor market, an egg roll and a large egg drop. Organizers include local civic groups, churches and the Hayes Presidential Library and Museums.
Event highlights:
- Clyde Community Park (Clyde Career Women) — March 28 at 2 p.m.; for children up to age nine; hundreds or possibly thousands of plastic eggs will be laid out, nine eggs contain special tickets for Easter baskets, and parents can take photos with the Easter Bunny.
- Ballville Township (Conner Park) — March 28 at 11 a.m.; age groups are three and under and four to six; children are asked to bring baskets and may visit the Easter Bunny.
- Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (Vickery) and Woodville events — Good Shepherd’s Easter Egg Hunt is March 28 at 10 a.m. with registration at 9:30 a.m. and activities rain or shine; Woodville’s Easter Egg Scramble is March 28 at 2 p.m. in Trail Marker Park and is for children who can walk.
- Downtown Fremont (April 4) — Hop-Shop runs 10 a.m.–2 p.m. with a Spring Vendor Market; the Easter Bunny will be at his house at Croghan and Front streets starting at 11 a.m.
- Hayes Presidential Library and Museums Egg Roll (April 4) — 12–2 p.m. celebrating its 40th year, geared toward ages 3–10 but open to all ages, free admission, and children are asked to bring three hard‑boiled colored eggs; some activities may move indoors in case of inclement weather.
- Large egg drop and other April 4 hunts — TheChurch in Fremont will hold an egg drop April 4 from 5:30–6 p.m., advertising 100,000 eggs for children in fifth grade and younger and noting pre-registration is required; Bellevue and Gibsonburg also have scheduled egg hunts on April 4.
