Discover: Eggsplore is a free ceramic sculpture trail led by York artist Sarah Schiewe that will appear in shops and businesses across Haxby and York during the Easter holidays. It launches on Saturday 28 March and runs until Sunday 12 April. The project was created with Emily Pickard of York Mumbler and funded by the Vibrant and Sustainable High Street Fund, supported by Mayor David Skaith. The trail is presented as a way to celebrate independent businesses and encourage people to explore local high streets.

- Dates: March 28 to April 12, with a free Easter Community Day at Haxby Memorial Hall on April 3 from 11am to 3pm.
- A ceramic egg hunt in Haxby will run from 12pm to 2pm and will feature more than 100 ceramic eggs hidden in independent businesses.
- Those who complete the Haxby or York trails will be entered into a prize draw for a luxury local hamper and the chance to commission a bespoke ceramic sculpture.
- The Haxby trail supports Haxby and Wigginton Youth and Community Association; the York trail raises funds for Door 84 Youth and Community Centre.
